Plage du Havre  $350

Like Monet, I grew up in Le Havre, Normandy; also known as “Le berceau de l’Impressionnisme” (the cradle of the Impressionism movement). There, he found the exceptional light that inspired his work. His window overlooked the marina, mine the beach. On week nights, my sisters and I had the entire beach to ourselves. What a treat this was!

Plage du Havre/ Where My Heart Is represents my 2 sisters walking on the beach at Sunset; I’m the seagull who watches over them. I miss the beach and my family a lot and fly back to meet them once a year.  The buoy symbolizes my chained heart.
